My name is Salvador Ruiz Sedeño, and I am an Electronic Systems Engineer specialized in automotive electronics and cybersecurity. I began my professional path in the field of electronic system design, working on automotive projects involving ECU development, diagnostics, and communication protocols. Over time, my work progressively moved toward the cybersecurity domain, where I now specialize in penetration testing of automotive systems. Currently, I work in DEKRA as Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst, where I perform security assessments on different vehicle ECUs and automotive platforms. My daily work ranges from the analysis of Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) to the evaluation of implemented cybersecurity mechanisms, performing firmware reversing and analysis of communication protocols and services in different automotive systems, with the objective of identifying potential vulnerabilities and assessing the robustness and effectiveness of the cybersecurity protections implemented by manufacturers. My background combines expertise in automotive communication protocols, embedded systems design, and reverse engineering techniques.
