Smart in-vehicle data processing
The Mayflower-Q5aW is InoNet’s mid-size car HPC with high compute performance and interface density – configurable with up to 20 ethernet ports to support demanding in-vehicle networking and data acquisition scenarios. It is ideally suited for smart logging and edge data reduction, serving as a powerful platform based on the AMD EPYC 8000 Series – optimized for high core density, energy efficiency and long product lifecycles.
The solution enables efficient data compression directly within the vehicle. With its integrated QuickTray slot, it fits seamlessly into the InoNet QuickTray® ecosystem, supporting increasingly selective edge data collection strategies where only relevant data is pre-processed and retained – while still ensuring ample capacity for extended test runs under real-world conditions.
With a power envelope of approximately 700W, the Q5aW delivers strong performance at a significantly lower energy footprint than a full-size car HPC server, making it the pragmatic choice for deployments where raw scalability is secondary to efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Its form factor occupies a deliberate middle ground: larger than InoNet’s embedded solutions, yet considerably more space-efficient than a traditional 19in server chassis. Liquid cooling ensures stable and reliable operation even under thermally demanding automotive environments, such as prolonged high-load testing or operation in harsh ambient conditions.
