Based on its long experience, Additium has released a new model in its fully electric seat and head restraint performance (E-HRP) test system to meet the most demanding requirements from OEMs and future NCAP trends.

The advantages of the system include very narrow load station (<240mm); modular narrow back form, adjustable to different sizes; able to apply much higher forces/moments/strokes; accurate, fully programable load rate control with newest servo-electric motors; real-time closed control loop in force and position (optical absolute encoders); new guidance for head forms, to withstand higher lateral forces; height retention test included; easier setup, with a wide range of movements fully motorized; powerful, user-friendly user interface software; very low operational/maintenance cost.

The new E-HRP – on display at the expo – has recently been supplied to the passenger cars and components homologation test lab at Applus Idiada in Spain (EuroNCAP Lab).
