Suzhou Satake’s climatic wind tunnel (CWT) is designed to simulate all kinds of climatic conditions from tropical to arctic, and different road conditions. Temperature, humidity, wind speed, road load, rain and snow can be controlled separately or together. The chassis dynamometer simulates different road characteristics and vehicle operating statuses. There is no limit on location, season and time to do tests in the CWT, which helps to simulate natural or extreme conditions and undertake repeatability tests under the same environmental conditions. It accelerates the development phase of vehicles and greatly reduces the on-road testing costs.

The CWT operates in a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, a humidity range of 5-95% RH, a solar irradiation range of 300-1,200W/m2 and a wind speed range of 0-250km/h. The nozzle can be sized to customer specifications, and an optional rainfall and snowfall simulation function is available.
