KS-F4R Vehicle Integration Testbed
KS Engineers presents its FIT‑FOR-ROAD vehicle integration testbed (KS‑F4R) – a flexible and compact vehicle testing system based on dynamometers mounted directly at the wheel hubs. The system enables steering on the testbed with large steering angles and realistic return force simulation.
The KS‑F4R supports comprehensive driving simulation, including GPS spoofing, radar scene emulation (RSE), sensor simulation and stimulation, camera‑based HIL testing, and rest-bus simulation. These capabilities make it ideally suited for applications such as vehicle commissioning, development and validation of driving functions, NCAP driving manoeuvres, ADAS function testing (e.g. ACC, TSR, LCA, charge stop planning), as well as efficiency and energy consumption measurements.
Integrated AC/DC charging units allow charging directly at the testbed including CCS2, CCS1, CHAdeMO, GB/T, NACS, and MCS. Collaborative robots automate the operation of cockpit controls, enabling efficient and reproducible testing of user interfaces, comfort features, and vehicle functions under realistic driving conditions.
In addition, KS Engineers showcases its new torque calibration unit (KS‑TCU), designed for flexible calibration of torque sensors directly at the testbed. The KS‑TCU features an automated calibration routine, including storage, management, and transfer of calibration data and test protocols, ensuring high accuracy, traceability, and efficiency.
