ElaadNL has conducted the world’s largest smart charging test program known to date, commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management as part of the national Smart Charging for All program (part of the Dutch National Charging Infrastructure Agenda). Over a period of 11 months, a grand total of 142 vehicles were tested with 10 charge points at the Elaad Testlab in Arnhem. The tests were based on different real-world smart charging scenarios and grid conditions. The results provide valuable insights and recommendations for CPOs and OEMs on how to implement smart charging.
- Key recommendations on how to implement smart charging, based on the results of the tests
- Smart charging scenarios based on real-life experience which EVs should be able to handle
- How to test immunity to power quality grid scenarios and why this is important
- Why smart charging is needed its importance for customers
