The University of Tartu Autonomous Driving Lab conducts research and development in autonomous driving technologies. The lab works with autonomous vehicle platforms, simulation environments, digital twins and software tools supporting autonomous mobility research.

Its activities include autonomous vehicle testing, perception and decision-making, scenario development, remote assistance, teleoperation, digital twin concepts and validation workflows.

For the automotive sector, the lab provides expertise relevant to ADAS and autonomous vehicle development, simulation-based testing, real-world experimentation and the integration of software, sensors, vehicles and digital environments.

The lab also contributes to education and workforce development in autonomous systems and software-driven mobility.
