LABA7 EMA Power Supply Unit: Overview & Technical Breakdown

Laba7 Hall: 1 Stand: 1664
Explore the engineering behind the LABA7 EMA Power Supply Unit. This video details how our reimagined energy source manages, stores, and delivers precision power to the Electromagnetic Damper Test System. Unlike traditional industrial testers, the LABA7 EMA offers unmatched mobility and efficiency. Inside the cabinet, we break down the core components that drive the system:
  • Capacitor charger
  • Actuator controller and data logger
  • Power distribution unit
  • The supercapacitor module

The LABA7 EMA is designed to bypass the need for heavy industrial infrastructure. Runs on a standard three-phase 400 V 16 A line. Can be configured to operate from a single-phase 220 V 16 A socket. Low power requirements enable installation in trucks, vans, and mobile labs for remote testing. Performance & Reliability:
  • The system charges and discharges the supercapacitor simultaneously, preventing power depletion during long, heavy test cycles.
  • The EMA does not run directly from the mains. This eliminates voltage drops and spikes, ensuring stable performance under any load.
  • The unit can operate fully off stored energy, allowing you to complete tests safely with no data loss during power interruptions.
  • The system buffers and releases power precisely when needed, resulting in almost zero energy loss.
