KARING - Chassis misuse test system
The Chassis misuse test system simulates the stress on chassis components when driving over obstacles, through potholes and when wheels slide against curbs.

This compact concept enables all these tests to be performed with high dynamics using just one system. The wheels of the fixed test specimen are driven by flexible rollers (up to 60 km/h).

The system can be easily adapted to different test procedures. This is achieved through an adjustable weight compartment, a flexible test specimen mount and an availability of various ground simulation tools. The tools are mounted on a belt track system and are connected to a motor drive that accelerates them against the test specimen. To prevent a secondary impact on the axle, the system is equipped with a rebound brake.

KARING GmbH has developed a mechanical-electrical-software-based solution for this complex task, offering the following advantages: low energy consumption, high flexibility with regard to various test parameters (e.g., speed, shape, dimensions, weight, etc.), a small space requirement and high safety.

The associated ACTERE software includes a manual program for setting up the test object, an automatic testing program and comprehensive creation of test reports.
