This year was a big one for the openDAQ community. Our membership grew from 3 to 10 members, a clear sign that openDAQ is finding its place in the wider test and measurement ecosystem. We also shipped two major releases, 3.20.0 and 3.30.0, focusing on stability, core functionality, and usability — laying a solid foundation for what comes next.

We spent more time on the road as well, attending three trade shows: Stuttgart, Toulouse, and Detroit. Toulouse was a particularly special milestone for us — our first aerospace trade show — and a great opportunity to see openDAQ resonate in a new industry context.

On the technical side, we made several important steps forward. In collaboration with MS+D’s LabVIEW experts, we delivered the first version of the openDAQ LabVIEW driver, opening the door to an entirely new group of users. We also introduced a range of new features and capabilities, including C bindings, a Raspberry Pi module, Apache Parquet function block, and operation modes, further expanding where and how openDAQ can be used.

Behind the scenes, the openDAQ team itself continued to grow. We welcomed new colleagues, moved into new offices, and built up the internal structure needed to support both our community and our ambitions. It’s been a year of steady progress — fewer bugs, more features, and documentation that (slowly but surely) makes more sense.
