PSI5-Simulyzer
The Simulyzer
allows PSI5 bus data to be captured, visualized, recorded, and actively
simulated. It can be used for detailed signal analysis, system validation, and
fault diagnosis, as well as for the generation of sensor data for ECU testing.
This makes the PSI5-Simulyzer an ideal tool for development, validation, and
test environments in automotive electronics.
Key Features and Capabilities
- Complete PSI5 Specification
Coverage
The PSI5-Simulyzer supports all PSI5 operating modes and use cases required by the specification, enabling comprehensive testing and validation of PSI5-based systems. - Analyze, Measure, and Simulate
The device supports real-time measurement and decoding of PSI5 voltage and current signals, as well as active simulation of PSI5 sensors or ECUs. Measured and generated signals can be recorded and analyzed with high accuracy. - Multiple
Operating Modes
- ECU Mode: The Simulyzer acts
as a PSI5 ECU, supplies sensors with voltage, and records communication
with up to six sensors per interface.
- Sensor Mode: The Simulyzer emulates
up to six PSI5 sensors per interface by generating corresponding data
streams for an external ECU.
- Passive Mode: The Simulyzer passively
monitors and records communication between ECU and sensors without
influencing the bus.
- Comprehensive Interfaces
The PSI5-Simulyzer features USB, SD card support for optional data logging, Sensor/ECU I/O, Analog/Digital I/O, and an optional CAN interface (license-based). These interfaces allow flexible integration into laboratory setups and test benches. - High Measurement Accuracy
The Simulyzer provides precise voltage and current measurement and generation, synchronized timing, and high-resolution analog and digital I/O, enabling reliable and repeatable test results. - Software Integration and APIs
Measured PSI5 data can be visualized using Seskion’s dedicated software tools. In addition, an open API is provided, allowing seamless integration into custom test systems, automation environments, and existing toolchains. - Professional Development Tool
Designed for professional use in development and testing, the PSI5-Simulyzer supports engineers, system architects, and test engineers in validating PSI5 sensors, ECUs, and complete systems under realistic conditions.
Typical
Applications
The PSI5-Simulyzer is widely used in automotive
development and validation, particularly for PSI5-based sensor systems such as
airbag and safety applications. It is also suitable for HIL environments,
system testing, and automated test setups. Multiple devices can be combined to
build complex simulation and measurement scenarios.
