Virtual sensors are enabling a new generation of software-defined vehicle functions – but their performance depends entirely on the quality of input CAN data and high-precision reference measurements during development. In this joint presentation, Compredict, Dewesoft and Manner Sensortelemetrie demonstrate the complete end-to-end workflow for developing a driveshaft torque virtual sensor, particularly relevant for electric vehicles. Dewesoft ensures synchronized, high-quality vehicle data acquisition, while Manner provides best-in-class torque telemetry as ground truth. Together, they show how validated virtual sensing can drastically enhance vehicle and component capabilities – without adding hardware in series production.
