Shiqiang Bao

Shiqiang holds a master’s degree in computer science from Tianjin University and has 17 years of experience in industrial software R&D and management. With deep expertise in simulation software, cloud platforms, computer graphics, sensor simulation, scenario simulation and AI-driven synthetic data, he has been instrumental in advancing intelligent driving simulation technologies. He led the development of SimOne, a leading intelligent driving simulation platform in China, and continues to drive innovation at 51Sim in autonomous driving testing, data-driven simulation and the integration of advanced technologies such as 3DGS and generative AI.

This presentation will highlight how 51Sim uses cutting-edge 3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) in combination with advanced graphics simulation technologies to drive innovation in high-level intelligent driving testing, with a particular focus on the emerging trend of end-to-end intelligent driving systems. We will explore best practices in integrating 3DGS technologies for enhancing testing efficiency and simulation confidence. By bridging the gap between virtual testing and real-world application, this approach aims to ensure more accurate, reliable and scalable results in software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
